SMP F4 NEZ Championship has ended its tour in Russia and is now heading towards the north as the fifth round of the Championship will be driven in Finland at Ahvenisto Circuit. Finnish Konsta Lappalainen gets to begin his race weekend in his home country in a Championship lead.

The challenging and technical track of Ahvenisto will host the fifth round of the SMP F4 NEZ Championship next weekend. Ahvenisto is located 100 kilometers north of Helsinki and with 51 years of age it is the oldest raceway in Finland. Unlike other raceways in Finland Ahvenisto is located right next to the city of Hämeenlinna, only three kilometers from the city center.

The Championship is travelling towards Finland in a Finnish lead. Konsta Lappalainen rose to the top as a result of the latest race weekend in Russia followed by Swedish Isac Blomqvist who is now 28 points behind Lappalainen. Michael Belov is third with only six points to Blomqvist.

Ahvenisto will be filled with plenty of dashing racing cars besides F4 NEZ. The Finnish Road Course Championship series will arrive to Ahvenisto next weekend as well as V8 Thunder NEZ and Formula Academy Finland. Formula Academy Finland is also driven with F4 cars and has eight out of the thirteen F4 NEZ drivers participating in it, so many of the F4 NEZ drivers are in it for a double task this weekend.

Free practice sessions for SMP F4 NEZ Championship will be driven on Friday. Saturday will begin with the first qualifying at 10.00 am. The first race will be driven on Saturday at 1.35 pm followed by the second race at 3.55 pm. The second qualifying is on Sunday at 10.10 am and the final race of the weekend at 1.00 pm.

Tickets for Ahvenisto Thunder Race event are 10 euros for Saturday or Sunday and 15 euros for the whole weekend. Children under 12 years old are free of charge under supervision.
