SMP F4 NEZ Championship has enjoyed an over two-month summer break after the second race in Nižni Novgorod in June. Next weekend the action will return as F4 rockets line on the grid at Moscow Raceway.

Moscow Raceway will host the third race weekend of SMP F4 NEZ Championship on 11-12 of August. A bit over 100 kilometers west of Moscow city Moscow Raceway is familiar for some of the drivers, as it was part of last year’s SMP F4 NEZ calendar.

Round three of the series has proven to be popular among drivers. Entry list holds 15 names for Moscow Raceway, including new arrivals such as Amaury Cordeel, Aleksandr Vartanyan, Tuomas Haapalainen and Markus Laitala.

Leading the Championship after two rounds Isac Blomqvist is looking forward to the race weekend. The young Swede has been overwhelmed on his amazing season start and is currently leading with 18 points to Michael Belov.

- Our season so far has been way over my expectations, our goal was of course to fight in the top but coming as a rookie and fighting against drivers with one year, some even two years experience hasn’t been easy. Being able to lead the championship this early is just an amazing start. I’m pleased to have such a good and professional team as MP motorsport behind me helping me achieve such great results.

It hasn’t been all about relaxing for Blomqvist for the past two months as he reveals he has been testing and training for the upcoming race.

- Mostly mental training but also a mix of cardio and strength training. At the moment I am on the airport going down to Barcelona to have two days test on Circuit de Catalunya to maximize my preparations before Moscow. On the side I have also had professional sim days to learn the track and the secrets on Moscow Raceway.

Blomqvist believes to come home from Moscow with good results. He hopes to maintain his lead in the Championship as the season is closing its midway.

- I think we can be strong in Moscow. Our preparations have been really positive and I am sure we can bring some good points with us to keep the Championship lead.
